I got all the vacuum lines cobbled back together, got the coil pack in, it wouldn’t seat easily because they never do, finally got all its bolts back in, and the locking slider on the electrical connector for the coilpack is stuck open. Which would be a problem if the connecter would actually go all the way onto the pack, which it won’t.

Oh...and one of my valve cover bolts snapped off.

Just remember this is still a German V12 you’re working on, it was never going to be a walk in the park. For what it’s worth, you’re doing at least as well as some “professional” “technicians” I’ve had the misfortune to know.

If I ever meet this engine’s lead designer, I’ll kick his testicles out the top of his head.

I’ve learned my lesson...trust me, I’ve learned my lesson.

I’m gonna have to pay what I would have paid to have this stuff done just to get the car put right again, and I deserve that.

Can you spot why the connector won’t go on? A bent pin, maybe?

As for this “locking slider” thing, is it something that you could get a zip-tie around to hold it in place?

Lol sorry to hear that. I bet with some more time you could work it out. Sometimes you just need to walk away for a little while.
